De Jong Zuurmond is an infrastructure construction company that maintains a large part of the Dutch highways and secondary roads.

I support the migration from Microsoft Office 2010 and an on-premise mail server and file server to Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint and OneDrive for Business. This prepares them for using Teams for improved communication and SharePoint/PowerApps/Flows to improve their processes in 2019. The actual migration and after care including user training is done by a migration partner we selected after a selection process.

Their IT applications and their most important process are not aligned. Employees are hardly trained and therefore they are not able to adjust the systems themselves. By reverse engineering this non-documented process and by understanding how the applications and their use must be adjusted to support the process we create a long-term plan and take short-term action in the meantime to have immediate benefit.

I work in a team with a Process Consultant and a Business/IT Consultant where I mostly focus on technology, applications like Esri ArcGIS and Infor EAM, and software development (e.g. PowerApps).

Finally, analyze 50+ Excel spreadsheets to match them to the reverse engineered process and create ERD and UML models (use case, sequence, activity).
